Sure I said, "No way will I ever have a cockatoo! They are dusty, noisy and they will eat a house if given the chance." But look who is living with us now. He is absolutely sweet. He loves to cuddle and wants to be you constantly.
He does whine, so there is the noisy part, SO FAR. Believe me, I know they are loud. So far he has chewed through a cage perch a week. We have finally switched to manzanita.

So far he hasn't bothered my allergies much. If I keep him bathed daily or every other day, I don't even notice the dust. I will say he doesn't care for bathing. These pictures outside of him taking a bath were the first time I have seen him enjoy one. I think a lot of that has to do with Jaz being a typical macaw and teaching everyone that a bath is the best thing ever.
